Pilaf Rice
Serves 4
Pilaf Rice
2 tbs butter
100g spaghetti ( dried ) break up into small pieces
1 onion finely chopped
1 clove garlic finely chopped
1 tsp grated ginger
1/2 cup Jasmine rice
1 tsp Keens curry powder
1 1/2 cups chicken stock
salt and pepper

1. In a large pan on medium heat add butter and pieces of broken up pasta. Cook stirring occasionally until golden brown. Once golden brown remove from pan and set aside for later.
2. In the same pan on medium heat add onion and cooked for 3-4 minutes. Add garlic and ginger cook for 1 minute.
3. Add rice, curry powder and return cooked pasta to the pan cook for 2 minutes. Add chicken stock. Bring to the boil, then turn down to a simmer. Place lid on pot and cook for 12-15 minutes or until rice is tender. Season to taste.
