Steamed Chicken Wontons
1 pkt wonton wrappers
500g chicken thigh fillets cut into pieces
4 spring onions slices
2 cloves garlic
1 tsp fresh ginger
2 tbs fresh coriander
2 tbs soy sauce
1/2 cup cabbage
3 cabbage leaves for steaming the wontons
1. Place all the ingredients into the food processor (NOT the cabbage leaves) and blend until you get a course consistency. Making sure all the mixture is mix together.
2. Take a wrapper and run a wet finger around the edge. Place a heaped teaspoon of mixture in the center of the wrapper and close,
3. Place on plate under a damp cloth to keep dumplings from drying out if you are not making straight away.
4. Line a steamer basket with cabbage leaves. Cooking dumplings in batches,(unless you have a large steamer you can cook all wontons at once). place in a large saucepan over 2 inches . of water. Bring to a boil; cover and steam for 10-12 minutes or until wontons are cooked. Repeat process until all wontons are cooked.
